Is it just me or is there a proliferation of well if you don’t carry what I do your wrong and you going to die if you only carry 8 rounds! I mean seriously what does it matter what some YouTube clown thinks is the only choice.

Really makes me wonder who is watching these idiots.

So I know some women that carry revolvers. Local sheriff does the concealed class. He talks down revolver capacity, and often tries to disallow them to be used in the qualifying test. Big ego, shocker!

During the test he had to manually rack the slide for the ladies he disallowed the revolvers. My wife told him No and shot excellent with a 5 shot revolver. Can't make this stuff up :):

I think people greatly exaggerate the difficultly of concealing and carrying a full sized firearm, at least if they're in a permissive environment. (If someone notices you're carrying there isn't legal or job loss consequence)

I personally believe everyone should be carrying at least glock 19 size firearms. I totally understand the need for deep concealment in non-permissive environments though, but there's not many people in that situation.

There's a lot of know it all-ism around. How many time have we seen threads where the guy asks for advice and will even say, I am not interested in Brand X, but he gets the butt hurt people showing up to tell him he has to carry Brand X. I think they are just so unsure of their choice that they constantly look for validation from others.

Right there with you, for me it’s a 1911 and A P365 as bug. But then again my choices are just that mine and most likely not the correct choice for anyone else.

There's no, one size fits all simply because we are all individuals. The perfect gun for concealed carry is the one you have with you.
Accuracy and training are the things that we all have to have a good grasp on to be successful in a self defense situation.
Exactly, and put the phone down.

    Yeaaah that's people for you.

I think we're absolutely spoiled by living in the golden age of handguns and CCW. There's so much supply and so many high-quality reliable options, people can afford to dicker over every little thing under the sun. We can scale to the exact size, exact capacity, and exact features we want without having to eat hardly any downsides except those imposed by the literal laws of matter and physics. The fact is that most guns from most reputable companies will be excellent choices in any given category for 95% of users.

That said the objective best and only choice for CCW is the HK USP9c

    Spot on.

Very rarely do I see people using these mouse guns on the range, running plate racks and having fun with their firearm. Everyone always needs to carry what they shoot the best.

I think capacity is a pretty minor consideration since lower-capacity firearms usually have very svelte magazines which makes it easy to carry spares on you. It's a matter of getting enough grip in your hand and sight radius to have confidence in less than ideal conditions.

For example, a spare mag for a glock 21 is not going to be as much fun to carry as a 1911 magazine lol.
