Splitting more wood today. ENT appointment tomorrow…. deviated septum from being hit in the nose with a wrench working on an airplane back in the 80s.
My first ENT consult is Thursday morning. Time to open up the skinny kraut schnoz. Sleep breathing is not heading in a positive direction.

Had a nice trip out to MCFG. Was only there a couple of hours, but it was a perfect day. Warm enough to be enjoyable, perfect blue, sunny skies and low wind. Too bad I shot so poorly... :(

Consistency was very poor. Managed a half dozen groups under MOA at 50 yards, the rest were horrible. Best 5 shot group was .38, which isn't really anything to brag about. Had one that would have been a .25 if it hadn't been for a single flyer. Did find out that the RWS ammo I bought runs well, but not great. My Wolf Match Target does a bit better and oddly I found out that it really seemed to like S&K Standard Plus. If I'm lucky, I might sneak another trip in later this week.

That can't be fun. I see they have you marked for today's date. Is that to make sure you aren't a leftover from yesterday???

Ok first, we love you CM. Get mo' betta. I will make standard issue snackrifices.

That being said, I was gonna make a joke about being milked earlier, but decided not to. Missed opportunity on my part. In walks Sparky with the spoil date follow-up. At least I'm not the only one with a demented sense of humor.

Think I'll head out to MCFG for a couple hours of rimfire fun in a bit.
I'll be doing that Saturday morning. Taking Dad's old Winchester out, along with the lever action, both in .22LR. I will probably bring along the Walther PPK/S in .22LR as well.

Last time I had the Walther out, I got a shell stuck. It is out but I want to make sure nothing is broken on it. It cycled a few snap caps without issue.

What does 10/18 mean? I should have thought about the date today.

Got a reproduction loader and filed it to fit this 1858 Remington so I can get it shooting again. I'll keep the broken loader back for someday when I can find a way to fix it. Need to patina the new one a bit. rem58.jpg

Luci was startled at the sight of the large Wolf spider, and asked if she could keep her 'pipsqueak' gun close ! ;)
