Not a fan of pizza king at all. My favorite chain is Pizza Hut actually. Non chain has to go to either Marzarella’s in sellersburg or Parlour in Jeffersonille.

We usually get pizza from Capri's up in the NW corner here. It's pretty good.

Last I knew, Bronkos in Crown Point had closed. Langels is Highland is good, House of Pizza in Hammond, a small place with a sports bar called AJ's off Rt 49 in Chesterton.
I agree the chains are not that impressive. Pizza Yuck(Hut), is about the worst. Plastic cheese and flat sauce.
Aurelios is decent, they offer pasta too. I've hit a couple of Beggars that weren't total loss.
I'm always looking for small private places because they actually make real crust!
    Good luck.
Agreed on Langels and Aurelios, used to go to House of Pizza many years (40ish) ago as a kid with the family, but we usually got the family style chicken :dunno: it was good. Pizza was usually Barton's. John's in Griffith had decent pizza along with pasta and a variety of Italian food. Been getting Rosati's when up with the family visiting. But Gelsosimo's is pretty good as well. Both are in Crown point.

For outside da region, Buck creek in Dayton just east of Lafayette is pretty good. As a recommendation while there eating not one but two LEO's came in to get food to go, and both were from outside of town. Rugie's dugout/Whiskey and wine saloon (2 different places same owner same pizza) in Monticello are pretty good, Abe's as well.
Monical’s has good pizza. They have one in Kentland, but most in IL. Also probably the best gluten free pizza!
There is one in Monticello also.

I might have to make the drive for that one. I live over by Corydon so not to far up the road from you.
That would be a nice road trip. Take the Natcher Parkway out of Owensboro, hop on the WK prkwy near Beaver Dam and you're there.

    Magoo's pizza. ****ing amazing.
One on west 38th and on on Rockville road.
Muslim owned and operated, so no pork.

The meat lovers pizza is my favorite. They also have a kabob pizza that is awesome.
Wait, no sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon, bacon... Can it really be called a pizza? Pork puts the P in pizza.

Thanks. We are probably 25 miles south of that so not our best option for carry out.

Just talked about Dandino’s yesterday. My wife’s cousin from Denver area was here for a reunion. Her & hubby, my BIL & SIL, wife and I met for lunch. First went to Olympia, had to sit outside as no booth for 6. Was too cold & breezy so went to South Side Soda Shop. During our 3 hour lunch available eateries in Goshen was discussed. Almost no “normal, American style” sit down places left. When Kerm bought, remodeled, & reopened Dandino’s was hoping it would last but didn’t. Even Ponderosa is now a Mexican restaurant. People tell me the Oasis is pretty good since remodel but I won’t darken the door as refuse to put 1 penny into the one owner’s pocket. Since moving to Kos. Co. and selling our Goshen & Elk.Co properties we mainly eat in Leesburg, Syracuse, Warsaw. But every where is short staff and BUSY. Last Friday went to 4 places at 5:30-6:00 and all had 1 - 1.5 hour waits to get in...came back home. Week before group of 7 of us waited over an hour after ordering for our food. Resorting to lunches or evening meal only mid-week, no weekends.
I haven't been to the Oasis since the rebuild either. We only went on occasion before that.
There is Hopper's also. I think we went there once, but some people really like the place.
There the Luxe and Angel's, both are supposed to be good for breakfast. We went to Lux many time and seemed like it was always good.

The best I think is 10-56 brewery.
Wooden Nickel in N. Judson use to have good pizza. I don't mind Aurelio's, Monical's, Gina Marie's. Albano's, which is what we always got at work it's a bit greasy.

Don't really get any chain pizza any longer.

So what's your favorite in the region @BigRed?

Everyone around here thinks Pizza King is so great ? I hate their pizza. Doesn't even taste like real pizza

I have a BIL that loves Pizza King.
    I could not disagree more.

He tried to tell me there are two different recipes and you have to find a place doing the right one.

I asked, "What are the two; ****ty and ****tier?"

I hear there is an Aurelio’s now in Fishers (?) which, if it’s the same standard as the original,
I don't know anything about the original, but the Fishers Aurelio's is underwhelming at best. Tried to give them a fair shot and went three times. It wasn't bad, but just wasn't anything to write home about either.
