When you have to resort to derogatory statements about "sheep", you've already lost the debate.

When you've determined that anyone not holding to your assessment of the situation and facts are dumb, then you've painted yourself into a corner - you can't possibly be open to changing your mind if doing so would put you in the same league as people you've called idiots. And if you're not open to changing your mind, then why on earth would anyone possibly want to discuss something with you? Is your view of an open disscussion just you telling people they're dumb?

That's not an open discussion or debate; that's a shouting match.

It is you locked into a narrative and following what the powerful are ordering. How many posts have you made defending the official narrative? I am trying figure out what is true, but based on your posts you already have decided what is true...

Let me try again to make my point.

How can the religious have a conversation about religion if the atheists always are shouting there is no God?

I'm not trying to silence anyone just wish to be able have a discussion without those that have bought the overhyped official narrative constantly knocking everything because it doesn't come from their sources...
That’s just an echo chamber. A safe space where you don’t want to be confronted with differing opinions. You may as well start a clubhouse that says “no girls allowed.”

If people want to make wild claims without evidence to support it, go right ahead. I’ll continue to question dubious information. I don’t think I’ve been rude about it, so I don’t see why that offends you.

We've gotten to point where, "I don't trust establishment A, therefore if establishment B trashes A, then I'll trust B."

Scratch that, we've been at that point for centuries.

I don't believe Leftists, at all. The reasoning for that is that they're goals are incompatible with my worldview and ethics. Huge institutions have stated goals of population reduction, the administration in charge loves to talk about walls being unethical, police being unnecessary, criminal lives mattering over the rest of society, etc. So yeah, it's kinda hard to believe I need shot mandated by these idiots, when all data from their own official sites show that only a very small segment of our society actually needs the shot. There is no reason for someone who isn't in the target group to get the shot unless they want it. No matter how small the chance of side effects, I would rather pass on that possibility when all official information out on the virus is that if I got it I would have a very small chance of having problems with it. It's not necessarily a Democrat vs Republican issue, it's a "your crafted narrative is falling apart and smelled badly even when it was first put out" kind of thing.

CBS news just stated that one out of 35 Americans age 80 and above has died of covid, and that one out of EVERY 500 Americans has died of covid, and basically implied that we would ALL die unless vaccinated

Amazing how much one little, seemingly insignificant word can change the entire landscape of a nation.

I'm willing to bet a month's pay that there have been nowhere near that many people who have died of Covid. There may have been that many who died with covid.

Funny thing those little words can be.

I worked part time in a nursing home for a couple years. I would say on any given month we had a couple people over 80 die. I don't know why, covid was not invented yet.

80 and above...you mean above the average life expectancy in the US?

If you took all Americans over 80, far more than one out of 35 would be dead after 18 months. Old people dying of natural causes is not a national emergency.
