Due to the overwhelming issues with folks and the new setup I have turned it off. As I work on other solutions, Be careful with the ads, have me check ads from folks wanting PayPal please for now.

I will be forcing a password reset soon, however. Should be easy, email me if you have issues.

I just tried refreshing my page on my phone. I got multiple (6) code emails attempting to login.
It doesn't seem to like me copy/pasting the code from email - I had to type it in before it would accept.

FWIW, I got it setup and it was working fine. Been doing 2-factor auth at work for a few years now. Would MUCH rather have 2-factor than a password reset (or periodic resets).

I'd sent a mod a message via outside INGO channels and told them I'd be locked out and to just ban or delete my account so it wasn't used as a scam. I don't use the email address I used when I signed up here any longer and I'm not downloading an app. If you turn on 2 factor, just ban me.

To combat scammers why not just require:

A photo of the actual item along with a handwritten note containing "INGO / DATE / USER NAME" on it.

Recommend everyone contact my voice call before agreeing to mail something or to do in person transactions.

After that, it's on the buyer. That's what the car related classifieds I've been involved in have done.

You can change your e-mail in your profile to your current e-mail address.

Also I always recommend using a personal e-mail address and not a work address.

    I like this. Makes sense.

Why is it so many members do not want to talk to you on these deals. I have swnt my cell # multiple times only to be ignored.

People if you want to play on the big stage grow a set and vet yourselves verbally.

I had enough problems getting it by the virus/malware killers in the first place...
They say there isn't certificates or some such registered so it didn't want me coming here.

    Then the 2-step stuff.

If someone is taking over several accounts, isn't that a security issue on INGOs end they can capture account information & passwords?
(Would explain the attempt at increased security by INGO)

Either that or someone/some group is targeting INGO users in specific...
Unlikely but possible since compared to the people all over the internet INGO doesn't even register as a blip.
More likely there is a security breach at INGO or at INGO servers...

Not my field of expertise, so just spit balling after a talk with my computer guy...

I hope it's worked out, I did change my password to something not remotely similar to passwords I use else where.
Maybe the security breech notices will stop...

I did get the riot act speech from the computer guy for using the same user name and close to the same password over several accounts,
He says it makes me easier to find and they have at least an idea of what my password might be if INGO (or someplace else) got cracked.

May start a new account with different user name, and I'm supposed to use a proxy server, which I'm not quite sure how that works either, need to try and catch up some on this stuff...

Folks you heard it from CM himself, no bannings today! Purge! No rules, tell people what you *really* think.

CM, I've waited a long time to tell you this. What I really think is you're a pretty awesome dude.
He always leaves spur marks on my hindquarters, so I am not being that nice.

You have to disable it in your Password and security settings. If you still have it enabled, it will still prompt you for it. It's just that it's not required by INGO anymore.

    OK then.

Those of us that went through all that, (without throwing tantrums,) should we keep this turned on or turn it off?

    :)
