With these old open top Colts the only thing that controls cylinder end shake is the distance from the forcing cone to the cylinder. Not an issue with a clean gun but fouling quickly makes the cylinder hard to turn. Open this up and the timing gets slow

    Thanks for your thoughts, gangsters.
The fat lady hasn't sung yet.....but my hopes are growing dim.
Really sorry to hear MM!!!! Hope the cost of development makes the buyer have "buyers remorse". Didn't you say it was a nuclear dump site?? You should show up at the sight with a Tyvex suite and a Geiger counter. A few passes with loud sounds......should put the property back up for sale!!!!!.....maybe on the cheap!!!!!

Sad to hear MM, but I would bet that venture won't fly. You may get another chance in the future. Are other competitive campgrounds near capacity?

My Warne scope rings are finally "out for delivery", so I'll most likely get to mount the scope on the Bergara today. FINALLY !
Also, my 'Silver Bullets' (5.56 SOST barrier defeating) are out for delivery. I'm looking forward to both deliveries !

In sad news, they granted a "variance" to allow the property adjoining my cabin property to be re-zoned as "commercial".
I had tried to buy that property (10 acres) for the last 5 years ! When it went for sale, I wasn't at the cabin, and evidently the new buyer jumped on it before I even knew it had gone up for sale.

My wife and I (and the entire 'neighborhood) attended the Zoning Board meeting, and fought (unsuccessfully) the re-zoning to 'commercial'. The new owner wants to put a 36-slot campground, and restaurant on the property. I'm not going to build a new home next to that .... so right now, we're in limbo.
We've talked to my wife's attorney, and have 30-days to appeal the decision of the Zoning Board. But it'll be tough, if not impossible, as Owen County is desperate for any new businesses to increase their tax base.

I feel like I just lost a decade of my life, and had my plans for the future trampled. Looking for a new property at this stage, and age is hard. Real estate is astronomically high, and often sells within hours.
Sorry to hear that MM. hopefully it does not actually come to pass.

MM...find something on social media that can be contorted into a racist statement and anonymously report it to the liberal media. That should put a stop to it.

Or....didn't you say it was an Indian burial ground????? Get some local tribe onboard......that should tie it up for years!!!!!

Unfortunately, he's a good ol' boy that inherited his daddy's money, and has lived in the area forever. He knows 'whats' up' when it comes to the property.

The best defense is one that we're trying to get the DNR involved with. The back of his property adjoins the State Forest .... and there are water restrictions. You can only pull a certain amount out of the ground. Also, we've talked to an attorney that's available to my wife through her work .... and she has a few ideas.
But, it quickly gets very expensive when lawyers get involved !

I too know this feeling, our entire Subdivision resides outside of the town of Plainfield. 3 years ago they started annexing land swapped with Hendricks County. The land butts up to our subdivision, Plainfield promptly zoned it Commercial and froze us out and screwed us over. Now 4 distribution warehouse are built/being built and they have shut off a major artery into the Sub.

Our once quit neighborhood is now bombarded with noise day and night.

That's the thing, Leadeye .... there's a 15-site State Forest horse camp just a 1/4 mile away, and even on the nicest of weekends, I've only seen it half-full.
But, the clown's wife wants to run the operation, and he has the money, and local yokel (low-level politicians) support to give it a go for quite a while.

That sounds like something that will morph into a trailer court. Does the road have city water on it?

Onr thing to look at is ground water contamination aspect, if your water source is a protected resource. Force them to speed MILLIONS to protect your water supply.
