You are not lying, my funnest car was a mid 200hp 4 spd, and you could rip on it and never get in to much trouble. I had a ball in that thing.
Same with a Miata I had, but I got bored with it. I just really like cubic inches, a nice cam lope, throaty exhaust and a major push back in your seat when you dump the clutch.

oh, and smoky burnouts are fun too.

This one will get you illegal faster than you want. 2470lbs and 138hp. For the b-segment cars it’s a big block Camaro. The fits and Mazda 2 are making 115 and 98 hp respectively and weighing pretty close.

and having cruise, ac, Bluetooth and nav is nice on a daily

There’s certainly something fun about zipping around everywhere at full throttle and never breaking the speed limit.
Yep. Drove a 1990 3 cylinder 5-speed Geo Metro for 4 years after highschool. That thing was so much fun.

Oddly enough with the 145/12 tires, burnouts were really easy. And new tires were $19.95

It had a good sound and could do great burnouts. 250ish whp and 3100lb V8 car was a good fun car.

But I do enjoy those big inch, big hp also. Just get you in trouble on the streets faster.

That is about the limit of the drive train components we are using. The ridiculous tires will not have much grip so O have little fear of popping anything launching a 4200 pound brick. My only fear is him wrapping it around something doing burn outs. Hence the line lock. I am considering a 2nd L-lock to do the rears in a simple launch control.
That is a hulk. What a turd.

I had a 1986 Cougar XR 7 with turbo 4 and 5 speed. Great car back in 1986.

That t bird would be cool with a full tilt turbo 4 or a Coyote swap even nice big windsor or cleveland.

To each there own I remember the Van craze in the 70’s people we’re putting 6-71 blowers on vans.
    I think CM had one!
No but I did have a stupid fast 1963 Ford Econoline. When you have access to a well stocked salvage yard the sky is the limit

Have you done anything to the Kia or is it pretty much throw some decent tires on it and drive?

I'm planning on making the coupe into a full daily. Even with the turbo setup and high hp, I want full interior and AC. Now that you're mentioning Bluetooth and NAV, I think I'm gonna have to get one of those fancy android stereos so I can have that amenity as well.

Oh, so the other night I backed the trailer up the driveway at 11pm - NEVER AGAIN. Can't see a danged thing and I ended up hitting the intercooler that I'm planning on using for the coupe. I put two really nice gashes into it. Anyone have an aluminum welder I could come use for an afternoon? I'm still using this intercooler.
Y'all are gonna ask why I would bother: it's got nostalgia and it's friggin huge. It's the one I used in my Dodge before I swapped to the Super Doody. I see all these squares running tiny intercoolers. Not me. Gonna run this monster, along with some other diesel/truck parts that should help this thing survive on Drag Weeks and during daily use.
