This is starting to look like another version of the whack - a - mole game, the whack a politician game. Now you see'em, now you don't. Now you see'em, but he's over there, now you don't.

Did a little research last night without success. Will spend sometime today and get a link. All I could find was the same as you. I do know I read this somewhere other than Reddit or Dailymail.
I stand corrected in that the article I was referencing did originate from a Daily:poop:mail article. So there isnt a fact based statement from a trusted source about him being at RR that I can find. He was employed at the ATF as a operator at the time of RR though.

Anyone heard anything about the chipmunk nomination? I don't watch tv and haven't listened to the radio. Interwebz has been story less on this (but I don't look for it).
    Any news?

Since he’s probably the worst possible choice, I’m sure he‘ll be confirmed given the Democrats track record of trying to destroy the country.

Anyone hear back from any elected officials?

I reached out to everyone weeks ago but hadn't heard back from anyone until a boilerplate email from Mike Braun today. Even though the senator failed to mention Waco at all, and also reminded me yet again that he's an avid hunter (), he said "When Mr. Chipman comes before the full Senate body for a confirmation vote, I will oppose his nomination." Not sure why he can't just come out and say he'll vote no.

Still waiting on a similar response from him and others after reaching out to them regarding the brace ban. I'm sure it will read quite the same as this one.

This is all I've received as well.

Got the same one from Braun too. I sent an email as well to Todd Young urging him to oppose the nomination. All I ever receive from Young is related to a totally different topic than the issue I emailed him about.

    Nothing about Chimpman's nomination.

So long as they ignore you. So long as they undermine the Constitution. So long as they do whatever they want, and there are NO consequences...

Got the same email from Braun. Chipman vote was delayed until next week. Not sure what that means. This guy in charge of the ATF would be scary. I have sent numerous emails to whoever I can opposing this clown. From what I have read, there are about 8 swing votes in play (MT, AZ, WV, PA, ME, AK). The citizens of these states need to be heard loudly for him to be blocked. With the brace letter I just sent, I am definitely on some government list now, if I wasn't already.

It's a tie Senate committee vote. 11-11. Now I guess it's up to the Senate Majority leader on whether or not to proceed with sending it to the full Senate for debate and a final vote.

I thought that if equally divided the Senate president casts a vote. And we all no how that will go.

If the committee was voting on a resolution to forward Chipman’s nomination to the Senate floor with the recommendation that he be confirmed, a tie vote should cause the resolution to fail of passage. This used to result in the nomination being reported to the full Senate with an unfavorable recommendation.

(At least that’s how it worked in Allen Drury’s ”Advise and Consent”, and he reported on the Senate for a lot of years. Senate Rules, of course, tend to be written in Jell-O pudding.)
