Yup. The rich can afford to hire protection. They can go to stores outside their area.
These policies affect the poor. Stores move out of the area. No police on the streets.

Yes, citizens do need to pay attention to the positions of the politicians that they are going to vote for. They also need to pay attention to the party platforms under which those politicians operate and to the ideals and policies that those party platforms represent.

I keep writing to my congress critters, trying to get them to just read from the Democrat Party platform during any floor filibuster. I for one would like to see that document read into the congressional record, and for a few of the communists (AKA Democrats) to have those party ideals and policy statements said out loud in front of others. I would hope a few would be embarrassed.

unfortunately they do not get embarassed by their own policies. they aren't at all bothered that they are trying to control (and mostly succeding) this country through subjugation, economical slavery, and doublespeak.

as i've stated before, i am apolitical. i find a lot wrong with both parties but as a student of history i know that the democratic party was the party of slavery, the kkk, and anti-equal rights.

in the 70's they changed from being outright hostile to "minorities" to creating situational and systemic racism and classism. now it's about covering up history to continue the same and new doctrines to control today's youth and those who claim to have "awaken".

I am not sure apolitical is the description I would use. You strike me as being pragmatic in the way of doing what works and measuring politicians, talking heads, and other influencers by their actual deeds rather than professed affiliations.
