Heh, right and left both don't have a conception of affording children. We incentivize having kids, and this tripled down on that.

I got the letter. All I read was thank our dear leader for saving us financially 3 times. 2x in 2020, and once in March.

We were just talking about this at work and I hadn't heard about it. I've been reading a bunch of articles trying to research it. From what I'm reading, it's only set to run through the 2021 tax year, so theoretically the payments would stop in January 2022. As should be expected, some are trying to make it permanent.

I've not been able to find anything yet about if it replaces, removes or otherwise alters your child tax credit on your taxes.

Money printer go "brrrr" and it ain't stopping...

    Spot on.
our new guy...president al z. heimer is sure setring the working folks up for success

I saw a forecast that inflation would average about 2.25% each year over the next few years. All that free money will be worth a lot less. Restaurants can't find workers around here. Rampant socialism is now. I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime. People loved FDR for it in the past. I expect the current administration is counting on the same for them.

Just remember, every dime the government "gives" the working class will eventually have to be paid back 10X over plus interest. Making slothfulness pay better that productivity is suicide to a nation.

There are not many people in congress that have ever produced a dime of actual growth in the real economy where we live. They have become rich as "public servants" by sucking up the wealth we have labored to generate.

The check going out for kids is just the child credit tax being given out instead of being claimed on taxes. It did go up from $2000 per child to $3000 and $3600 if they are under a certain age. The 300 a month will come off of the tax credit.

It has the potential to really screw divorced parents like me. My ex will get the payments for my son because she claimed him this year, and I will only get half of the credit next year. I would prefer they just do away with it anyway, but still pisses me off that she will get half of my tax credit now.

Put the letters we got in the backhouse at camp...someone will make good use of them.

    or

Pon las cartas que recibimos en la casa de atrás en el campamento... alguien hará un buen uso de ellos.

bet you a dollar to a doughnut that come tax time, they'll still be able to claim the full credit. the working stiff will not get a refund at all.

A few weeks ago, I saw a guy with a sign that said, "will work for food". He was standing on the sidewalk by a speedway that had a sign saying, "now hiring". For some reason, I didn't feel the need to give him any money.

It's a crap shoot whether my local Domino's will have a delivery driver working. At least one time I had to go pick up my pizza because they didn't. Another time I called they said that delivery times were running approximately 2 1/2 hours because they only had one driver working. This from a company whose whole business model was originally delivery.
