Even easier to provide you some test ammo if you let me know when you can make it out to HHRP sometime to meet me and 88, or others... ;)
That will be happening. I learned a valuable lesson last weekend. Be ready for the fun events. That entire weekend was a test session for the mouse. I had a ball with everyone and CKW stepped up a level but I was in way to deep.

This is what I love about this group.
    '
But I still hate you guys.....:):

You will be thanking us once you enjoy the massive noise and recoil from your new .22LR bolt gun with standard velocity ammo. :lmfao:

My CZ 457 At-One likes Lapua Midas+ and CenterX. My Kidd 10/22 likes SK Long Range Match.

CCI Standard velocity and SK Magazine and Standard Plus along with others make good practice rounds when a few flyers are acceptable.

    Morn'n gents

Plan for the day is cleaning a reorganizing. I got everything in on Sunday but its been sitting since. Had some heavy stormage go through lastnight, anybody else have the same?
Nothing heavy here today. Plumbers are working on enough stuff that I'll be handing over DW Valor amounts of cash soon. Once they are done, I can pull stuff from the safe and begin cleaning

So the fix was rotate the rings and that made the rifle run again? Sorry, but I call :bs: on that one. Worn out rings were more likely the culprit than the alignment of the notches. A military issued M4 is going to see way harder use than 99% of civilian owned semi-auto AR15's.

Church, rotate your rings and let us know. If I'm wrong, I'll buy you and Lee11b lunch, along with a formal apology in here.
OK. Per my own experiences yes a full auto will suffer from the loose fit and staggered rings. A semi not so much.
I have had two inexpensive PSA builds that would eat a set of rings (not destroy but loosen up) in a couple hundred rounds.
I fought with both those 2 BCG's and finally replaced that piece with something of better quality and the issues were gone. And so was those rifles and any further PSA pieces in my safe. JMHO from my own adventures.

Not had any issues since then.
Actually the issues with the 2 rifles now are the spent casings are "STUCK" in the chamber and I have to drop the butt on the ground and clear the spent round. Had 2 do this. I have experienced before and know the fix.

I'm spending the afternoon cleaning guns in the basement.
Then tomorrow, when my wife is at work, Brutus will be cleaned on the kitchen table (it's too heavy to lug to the basement !).

You need to put that "retirement thing" to good use and spend a few days a week relaxing on a firing line of your choice. Jmho of course..

Going to be putting some rifles, scopes, and some pieces parts in classys but wanted to give you gents first dibs if anyone would be interested.

Sig Sauer MCX Virtus Patrol gen2 fde - anib and never fired.

Remington 40XB 22lr US stamped 22lr trainer heavy barrel - bolt and serial numbers match - wood has two dents from safe packing, can easily be steamed out but otherwise wood is in great condition - all steal is in good shape also - all original

Unertl 20× target w/ Unertl mounts - fine crosshairs - calibrated head - has both end caps - in great condition.

Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16×44 ffp ebr2c reticle - have box and all factory docs - as new condition- been sitting on a rifle that hasn't been shot - been sitting in safe since new and never been used.

There's more but those are the major players. Have rings and other stuff and will be able to give specifics once I dig it all out.

Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone would be interested. Shoot me a pm and we can discuss.

Forgot to mention a Vortex StrikeEagle 1-8 w/ Vortex mount and a Vortex SparcAR gen1 also.
One of those Vortex scopes would probably fit the bill for my new upper....

The Diamondback may be "too much" scope for an AR but would definitely be able to see the target.

Not trying to **** anyone off, but my statement still stands, gas ring alignment alone will not stop a semi auto AR-15 from cycling properly. Quality of parts, full auto machine guns and wars in Iraq not included.

You guys have fun chasing your tails on this one. I offered my unsolicited advice and will exit stage right now...

Did you have this out on Sunday? I meant to check it out but got distracted by WT's one hole groups.
I had one there yes but this one was home in the safe. It's sitting on the 40XB to be exact. I understand about the distraction, was in the same boat for a little bit.
