I noticed that one the other day. Whenever I see something like that, I think the challenge is to steal it. Not that I would. There is a similar system at the Lowes west Indy. Staff said much theft in the lot from the **** bag fly by night contractors stealing tools/ladders and materials.
That's where I took the pic. Eastside has one also.Saw one at the west side Kroger some months ago.
But dont get comfy... if they steal from YOUR truck under the watchful eye, "GFY, go get a warrant if you want the footage."There is a similar system at the Lowes west Indy. Staff said much theft in the lot from the **** bag fly by night contractors stealing tools/ladders and materials.
I see you shop at the west side Kroger as well. That showed up about the same time as the uniform LEO in side the store. The police aren't there anymore, or at least not as much. I think they were having some issues with the " no permanent address" population around that time. There were usually a few hanging around the lot back then. I recall the local constabulary chatting with them on several occasions. Is that what this is? View attachment 138214
Although I'm less of a Kroger fan these days, I normally shop at the eastside Kroger, when I intentionally go there.I see you shop at the west side Kroger as well. There has been one downtown at Krogheto for quite a while. It even tells you to wear a mask to help everyone stay safer.Although I'm less of a Kroger fan these days, I normally shop at the eastside Kroger, when I intentionally go there.
I was riding the bike looking for strawberry plant varieties and hit them all in one night last week.
I seen these contraptions at the east and west locations and wondered if anyone had further info on them?
I don't recall seeing the camera things downtown, north or south, but maybe I missed them?
On the "experiencing no home" crowd, I've recently heard on the scanner app the Btown PD officers going on duty for off duty work at Kroger south.
These are the first step (quality of video notwithstanding) of target hardening by the businesses; they are cheaper than an off-duty officer or other security personnel and lower insurance rates.I hope these people are wising up and having cameras with high enough resolution to actually be useful.
I've never understood the point of security camera video with such low resolution that all it shows are fuzzy blobs moving around that even their own mother wouldn't know them. LOL
The state would need a warrant, constitution and all that. When a private citizen requests it, the business should cooperate. If they want your continued business. But dont get comfy... if they steal from YOUR truck under the watchful eye, "GFY, go get a warrant if you want the footage."
I had some jackwagon steal the rear view mirror "glass" from my car in the Lowes in Beech Grove. I was close to the building and their cameras would have caught the vehicle at least. I didnt see the missing mirror until I was changing lanes on 465 as I left. So I called the manager. I explained the situation and was told in the casualest way possible "yep. Happens all the time. I cant help you. If you want to see any footage you will need a warrant. We dont let anyone even SEE our camera footage without one under any other circumstances.
Gee, thanks a LOT, F***er.
I'm sure some corporate legal eagle thinks that ANY proof would open them to liability. "See! Proof somebody harmed me on your property. I'm suing you for damages."The state would need a warrant, constitution and all that. When a private citizen requests it, the business should cooperate. If they want your continued business.
