Good way to divide via races.

    Must be hiden reparations
Actually this might be a sort of reparations. But unlike slavery, the offenders and the victims aren’t so far removed. Specifically between ‘81-‘96, when thousands of Black farms were lost due to practices in which they were denied credit - (this does not address the vast disenfranchisement of Black farmers prior). The Pigford I and II settlements did give some relief, but not to all farms, not to those who lost their farms because of historical practices, during the same span, and afterwards.
So I guess, ultimately, it depends on if you think the surviving Black farm families that made sacrifices, due to previous discrimination, to keep their farms running are more entitled to help, than farmers who didn’t have such issues, and always had access to other means of assistance.
I’m staying silent on the other groups because I’m unfamiliar with their claims.

I don't see what a "plandemic" loan has to do with something that happened in the eighties.

Also it lists every race except white, but I get it white man=devil.

80s through the mid to late 90s. I’m not making the case for the other groups. I don’t know their story, but it has already been proven that Black farmers were discriminated during the span I mentioned, many losing their farms. The tools available to White farmers to keep up the administration of their farms were not available to them.
The argument, typically, against reparations, is that no one is alive who were perpetrators or victims of that system. Amongst other reasons, I find that a valid argument. That argument isn’t present here.

South Africa was a learning experience.

    Our turn now.
I doubt anything approaching SA will ever occur her. Actually I’m fairly certain of it. But if that what keeps you up at night, have at it. I’m afraid Gollum from the Hobbit, and have been since that cartoon from the 70s.

    "It could never happen here."

Nice, I keep seeing people say that only to be proven wrong within a matter of days.

I never said black farmers weren't discriminated against. This was a loan to help farmers financially due to COVID-19. It has nothing to due with what your talking about, and those people have already been "reprimanded".

What if they said, "you only have to pay it back if your black" is that racist? I'd say so. Like I said white man=devil.

Looking at the justification for the stimulus, it appears that the persons involved in its drafting, and its supporters, make note of the historic financial discrimination of those farmers, citing “Pigford” specifically.

Interesting take on the 80’s farm crisis. Jimmy Carter destroyed the ag markets with embargo‘s but it only effected black farms? I’m not sure what’s worse being denied credit or paying 23% interest.
I’ll have to tell my dad it was white privilege that he got to pay 23% interest on an operating note, loose 3/4 of his net worth and the family farm.

Are these stimulus benefits limited to people who got screwed over in that mess and their decendents or would a first generation black farmer qualify?

You’d be hard pressed to find first generation farmers of any demographic. Lots of people simply don’t want to go into the family business. I have several farmers in my family, and they’re aging out. Their kids want nothing to do with it. One cousin took over an uncle’s farm, only to let it be administered by another family, while he worked in Atlanta. I imagine at some point he’ll sell part of it to them.

I know a handful of first generation farmers, but they are white, so from what I understand, do not qualify.

At least their filthy money is good enough to help pay the interest.

I haven’t dug into it further, but apparently the Trump stimulus to farmers(2019) went 99.4% to White farmers. If that’s true, then there would seem to be a problem. Would you agree?

I would definitely have a problem with it if "being white" was a requirement for the loan, or if race figured directly into it.

What's the current percentage of full fledged qualifying black owned farms/farmers, to white ones?

So something has to be stated as being specifically discriminatory before you believe there’s discrimination? You’re kidding right? Especially after the passing of legislation meant to prevent such things.
