was hoping to make this but since all my materials have materialized to finish my ceiling in the shop I'm gonna stay home and work my a$$ off instead of enjoying a nice weekend at the range.

wait, what the hell is wrong with me??
    Make better choices!! :):

I'll still be there. Picked up 2 types of cookies.
I'll be making sure sights that I'd recently replaced are good to go.

I got caught in the rain with out a hat the other day and have been phlemed up for two days. Right now i am stoned on dextromethorathan. If I feel better in the morning I'll be there, but as of right now it doesn't look good.

Sorry, James and Alex, I guess you will have to shoot.

I'm gonna make this one. Just grabbing some shooters I have ammo handy for so a couple of .38s, a couple of 5.56 KelTecs and an FAL if I remember to grab it on my way out the door. Hour time zone and hour drive makes this a little earlier than I'm used to. Hope I don't snooze the alarm too many times.

Hope y'all have a good time, not gonna make this one. Didn't get back from Indy until late last night and now the wife's boss asked her to trade office days for today. Kid taxi duty here I come.

Sorry to hear, we hope you're feeling better.

That was our initial plan, to shoot a little today. But we aren't going to make it either today, something came up last minute and we have to change plans.

Hope everyone that does make it out today has a great safe day.

Never thought to check the forum from my phone. Guess that pegs me as a boomer.

I got there just before 10:00 and the 25yd range was full of some non-INGO group so I too switched over to the 50yd(which made more sense anyway with centerfire rifles). Had the place to myself for half an hour or so and then I guess you set up,.....far left bay, yes? I was blue shirt on the bay second from the right. Hi. Didn't see any other INGOers but chatted up a guy to my right later on.

Weather was much nicer than I'd expected,.....too nice in fact. Little warm even after stripping off a jacket and the sun was shining bright pretty much the entire time. Breeze was picking up as I left around 11:30. Shooting was okay. Nothing I had with me was sighted in or even fired by me previously, but they're hitting well now. I need to remember to bring some sort of target viewing optic next time. Managed to spot my shots with the 1-4x on the KelTec but just barely. .30cal holes were easy enough but the 5.56s were a challenge.

Practiced my juggling today. Fire a few rounds, clear and rack the rifle, spot the shots with the KelTec, rack the KelTec, retrieve whatever it was I was shooting, swap eye-pro for readers,......adjust sight,.....swap readers for eye-pro,.......fire a few shots,........wash/rinse/repeat.

L1A1 did fine and actually started off on paper. Can't see peep sights too well but I'm sure I can ring steel 100% at 200 and probably better than half the shots at 300.

KelTec RDB-C did well. It started off on paper as well. 1-4x was fine at 50yd. Only magnified optic I had with me.

KelTec SU-16 was iffy. It does not like milsurp mags. It would hand feed and fire just fine but every second rd had the bullet jammed back into the case when auto-loading. Two mags, same result. All I had with me were alloy milsurps until I remembered that the SU-16 carries a pair of polymer 10rders in the belly of the stock. Never expected to use those as they have a poor reputation,......but they worked flawlessly. Fitted with a red-dot(which I also can't see well)and NOT on paper. Took quite a bit of effort to get it on paper without someone spotting for me(I use nothing but paper plates for targets). Finally adjusted the dot to co-witness with the barely visible factory peep sights which were obscured by the base of the RD,.....and got onto paper that way. I'd have NEVER believed the factory sights were adjusted anywhere near POA/POI but they were.

Overall unimpressed with my shooting but no paper plate is safe within a couple hundred yds of my rifles and I guess that's good enough for now. Didn't bother to bring out the DAO .38 revolvers. Even the 4'x8' target backers would have been unscathed at the 50yd line.

    Hi d.

Failed at my only real objective,.....to meet and great some INGOers. Maybe next time.

I don't know how many other ne'er do wellers we have here on the forum but I'd be much more inclined to meet during the weekdays. Public ranges kinda scare me on the weekends(and I hate taking space away from those who can only get out during their days off). I'm always off,.....you can ask anyone.

We didn't put up the usual sign, I got there 1030 or so, was still a great time. Nice meeting Jettaknight too. Weather certainly was nice. It was a 4H group and I believe they'll be there at least once a month with 22lr.

Yes, it was Pulaski County 4H Shooting Sports at the Winamac F&W, yesterday. At this point, it will be meeting every other Saturday starting from May 1, until June 12. The shooting disciplines are pistol, rifle, muzzleloading, and shotgun.

All but muzzleloading is from 9 am - 10:30, muzzleloading I believe is 10:30-noon.
