China has invaded the mainland United States. Indiana National Guard units are largely deployed outside of the state to meet the enemy, so citizen volunteers are tasked with hometown defense operations, loosely organized under the command of the Indiana National Guard Reserve, to supplement any remaining Indiana National Guard and regular US Armed Forces units left to defend Hoosier soil.

A limited number of M4 carbines are available to citizen volunteers, especially those with prior service. All other volunteers will be asked to provide their own AR platform carbine or rifle, and will provided with 5.56 ammunition and magazines as supply amounts allow.

Pistols and magazines will not be provided, but 9mm ammunition will be available to be issued. Volunteers can provide their own handgun and ammunition in any caliber and platform, but will have to supply their own magazines and ammunition outside of standard issue 9mm FMJ.

What pistol are ya packing, INGO?

This one is my choice. I own Glock, CZ and M&P full size pistols, and I find that I can shoot faster and more accurately with my M&P than anything else. Hopefully I have enough mags on hand to keep myself in business. And I may or may not have a couple of spares. :)

Not my pic, but mine is just like it. (There are many like it, and this one's not mine?)

Springfield not being an option is a sin.
Only 10 options allowed on the poll. I actually wanted to differentiate between the Sig and CZ striker vs hammer pistols, but had to condense them.

I'm OK with Springfield XD being "other," in the poll, though. Much like it is in the actual real world.

Right now it's my CZ P10F because I have not fully tested out my RIA Ultra FS 10MM yet. So far it's been reliable. Had a thumb safety issue out of the box. RIA took care of it total turn around was 14 days including shipping to Utah. I just don't have it broken in yet nor my 1,000rd reliable test on it yet. If it works out I'll be carrying it instead. Or maybe both :draw:

G19.5 MOS here with Trijicon RMR and Trijicon tall night sights. Streamlight TLR-8A green laser/light combo. Safariland duty gear. A few extra mags including some fun sticks. Federal HST (when you care enough to send the very best).

Only 9mm will be available for resupply so ...
Any way. I would carry the P226 Mk 25. I sort of set it aside for just this purpose years ago.
I have the 1911 platform and this in
.45 ACP to choose from. But I agree, 9mm will be the likely stock for resupply so I have an M9 in reserve.

The sidearm of choice for me would be a Sig P226 with 9mm, .357 Sig and .40 barrels. They all share the same mags. It offers options should 9mm run short in supply

Well, he did say they would supply us with 9mm so that makes it easy. Though my pistol is a 9mm anyway.

I would use the one I have; M&P 2.0 Compact with a RMR. I have enough mags until the enemy overwhelms me with proper battle firearms.

I don't have an AR to enter the fight with.

I am well stocked in 9mm and my spouse would be wielding that caliber in her HotRod CZ Shadow. HST's in many mags. We are OK here so restock would really not be needed for a while depending.
I am deep in 10mm so the same and when I do need it there are several 45ACP pieces at the ready and well stocked to use.
