I traveled recently 252 to the south bypass access rd to Burton Ln. But there was a sign posted that the access rd would be closed 3/15. Any updates from those who have been ther lately with suggestions other than HW 67 S.
    Thanks in advance.

Coming from the northeast, I'm not sure how you can get there. If you can get into town and weed through and get to Morton Ave south you may be able to do what I wrote below. Others probably know better than me as I come up from the south and I really don't lose much time at all getting off at Liberty Church. When I heard they were going to close Burton, I just started going that way.

If they close Burton lane, you can stay south onto 37/I69 to Liberty Church Road(next exit).

Turn left. Left again at the frontage road, follow until it "T"s. Turn left and follow it until you get to the club entrance.

You will be approaching from the south angling slightly right into the driveway.

I took 37 down to Morgan St./Old SR 37, just before the 37 road closure and went through town. Turn right onto Morgan St., then follow Morgan St. to the 39 bypass and go left. Take a right on Morton Ave, then left on Burton Lane. Follow Burton Lane across 37 and then you're home free.

Keep in mind that at some point they are going to close Burton Lane at the construction area. I don't know when though. Do you have any info on timing?

Ugh. No I don't. I'll probably have to come up with something else at that point. Will 39 take me south of the closure and south of Liberty Church so that I could maybe turn around and come back north?

Yes, if you take 39 south through town it leads directly now into 69 south. Then one exit to Liberty Church Road and come in the "back way".

I go either Saturday or Sunday, early-ish. If you see a guy by himself, that's probably me. I drive a light green Rav4 and I have been shooting pistol lately.
I probably have seen you before at some point. I'm usually either in one of the back 25 yard ranges or else on the long range. I drive a little silver Hyundai Elantra Touring that looks like a little station wagon.

Probably have. I'm a car guy so I notice what people are driving. In the past I always grabbed the bay across from the shotgun field, but lately I to have been at one of the back bays. I like the concrete pads. But I also like to try my hand occasionally shooting the Texas Star.

    I'll keep an eye out.

Those concrete pads are nice! And I love that they put plate racks and dueling trees in those back bays now. I use those bays more than anything since they're long enough for just trying out a rifle or getting a scope on paper, and also for pistols.

Best overnighter I ever spent on a New Year's eve. I think that was the last time they did it that way though. Knowing what I know now, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I got in without having to do that fortunately, but it is a nice club...but...

We have some members that need to go. I have been there several times this winter and found bays left messy. Shot up cans laying on the ground, on one bay someone shot the sign showing where to shoot the plate rack from. Looks like maybe a shotgun. I find trash left behind. Often, I spend 15 minutes when I get there just cleaning up.

They also don't put the target stands away when the are done. I don't get it. This is our club. I pay for it and I feel like I own a piece of it. Other members should to.

It's way too hard to get a membership there. It would be shame to lose it because you didn't pick up your trash after a range visit.

This is disappointing to hear. I bet if you'd take some pics, and txt them to the board, something would get done about this.

The club knows who is there when, by tracking our gate passes.

BTW - hopefully we are not talking about brass left on the range? I don't call that trash, I call it a gift. ;)

Yeah, Monty has told me if I see anyone in the act to take a picture of their vehicle and try to ID them best I can. They will lose their membership. I have talked to him about it a couple times.

Heck, I carry paint(white only please!) with me and paint the steel and I set up the Texas Star when I'm done, put away the target stands and get rid of any trash. As far as I'm concerned I'm not doing anything any other member should do.

Brass? What brass? I don't see any brass (other than .22) left on the range after I'm done.;)

lol. I usually set the man sized brass on the table; you know, fortay, 45 auto, 380,etc.

I just pick up my 9mm. Sometimes I go home with more than I shot...sometimes less.

I used to belong there years ago but didn't rejoin since it is so far from Greenfield. What does it take to become a member there now?
