Because it doesn't matter, does it?

It'd be in his full constitutional authority to launch a nuclear strike as well, do you think that's good for us?
Obviously that depends. If he nukes India “just because,” that’s a bad thing. If he nukes Iran as a pre-emptive first strike due to actionable intel, that’s a good thing. Is there a point to this line of questioning? If your asking if a president’s legal authority can be used in a negative way, I’d say yes, and never have believed or stated otherwise.

I was, but not because of EOs within his authority.
Just because you have the ability/authority to do something it is not always in the best interest of hose effected to actually do it.
J.B. has no vision of this country that is not focused on slowing us down and driving a gutter spike through one of our feet to keep us running in circles.
Why can you not see this my friend. Why. What is this addled old man doing or even thinking (:lmfao:) of doing that will benefit anyone besides a few special interest freak groups.
How can you defend any of this. How.

I am truly confused by you and a few others that espouse support for the 2nd and can argue this bunch of lefty socialists are the answer to anything.

Believe as you will. Thats your right and I will, as a true patriot, stand next to you in defense of that right. There are many in here that would not and shame on them. Every one. They are not patriots in the true sense/meaning of that word.

But I ask in all sincerity.....would "You" or any of those other members of this forum that left us for the dark side do the same for me. But my focus is you.

I am positive a few of those sissy's would not.

You're so deluded you're laying the ground work to defend starting the nuclear apocalypse over Iran. A country that effectively blocked their biggest port by accidently sinking a aircraft carrier mock up they were going to use for a propaganda stunt, after sinking one of their own vessels by accident with a missile.

    Listen to yourself, dude.

Trump executive orders = Threat to democracy.

bidet executive orders numbering in the 60’s a month in = awesomeness.

Your world has a different color sky doesn’t it?
When one lives in a world where the sky is constantly falling who really cares what color it is?

No, that was never said, nor even implied (at least not by me). My entire reason for voting the way I did, in this election, was to oust Trump. I viewed him as dangerous inept crook. He didn't just lose because leftists voted against him, he lost because leftists AND a sizeable amount of conservatives voted against him. They apparently found common ground in recognizing that he was simply no good for the nation. His record shows that, evidenced as someone else put so eloquently, "he left the country in worse shape than he found it."

So yes, I think Trump voters we're led astray... but, you and other believe the same concerning the other side. You are entitled to that belief, and I WILL protect your right to believe so, by force of arms, if need be.

I think his tongue got tied and he made a sound approaching the word people are claiming to hear. From the co text of his speech it doesn’t even make sense to say that word. So unless he has Tourette’s, this is pretty much nonsense. If his opponents have to scrape that far down the barrel, it’s going to be a LONG 4 years for ya’ll.
So by using the descriptor "ya'll" that means you voted for or support Biden. Now your posts make sense.

Just for the sake of educating me, could you please provide a short list ( say, under 10 ) how Trump left the country in worse shape. Economy, race relations ( if there is such a thing ), 401k balances, or ?

Maybe I can prime the pump for you - withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Accord. Would that be one ?

^^ This is exactly the primary criticism of Trump. Starting with bumpstocks.

J.B. has no vision of this country that is not focused on slowing us down and driving a gutter spike through one of our feet to keep us running in circles.

How can you defend any of this. How.

Couple things here. At least for me, I'm not defending Biden whatsoever. Pointing out Trump's issues is not a defense of Biden, but at least a partial explanation.

And my thought in starting this thread as the corollary to the Trump Popularity thread was to discuss just that - the popularity (as measured by the RCP Job Approval numbers). That is somewhat disconnected from policy. (In an ideal world, popularity/job approval would directly relate to policies, but it doesn't tend to work out like that.)

For instance, gun control would be terrible policy. But, there's a solid chance that it would increase Biden's job approval numbers. :/

I am truly confused by you and a few others that espouse support for the 2nd and can argue this bunch of lefty socialists are the answer to anything.

They are the electorate's answer to Trump. Trump was, if nothing else, intense. Hyperbolic, even. Bigger than life.

Biden is Carter. A decent guy who most people expect not to accomplish very much, but also not screw up very much. (Hopefully.)

Believe as you will. Thats your right and I will, as a true patriot, stand next to you in defense of that right. There are many in here that would not and shame on them. Every one. They are not patriots in the true sense/meaning of that word.

I'm not even sure what that means (and that's a unflattering visual at the end). ;)

But, I am - and I believe I have proven myself to be - a disagree-with-what-you-say-but-defend-your-right-to-say-it kinda guy.

You mean like someone trying to reign in the debt, only to get called the worst president in history by conservatives, like Jimmy Carter?

Yeah, see above. Carter was an ineffectual POTUS. But the context in which he was elected, that made sense.

Seems to me lots of people ignored Trump's policies and the benefit they provided to the economy/country and instead chose to focus on him being yucky.

Now the opposite is true, we're going to ignore Biden's utterly un-American policies and focus on him being inept and incapable of doing damage (in spite of his sprint to **** up as much **** as possible as quickly as possible).

Got it. We were on a cruise ship watching characters we didn't particularly care for and we couldn't stand it. Now we're on a freight train to hell but since main character has changed we can all just relax and enjoy the ride.

As to the unflattering comment. I have asked this question more times than just here. Many many more times and the answer save for yours is generally "Crickets" from those I am pointing out and yes, shame on them. You missed the point but understandably so. No worries. At least you answered and in a manner that shows you remain a patriot at some level.

My target was Kut. And not to slam him. But to seriously ask that of him.

Biden is "ANYTHING" but a nice guy. He is a back door shove it up your back side snake politician. You sully Carter. Sadly Biden cant measure up to Jimmy on any level. You surprise me.

Please show me where and how we are in worse shape because Trump demanded accountability from people in power. That was his demise. I am just not seeing it.

Those who hoped that were disappointed. His administration was a disaster on multiple fronts, costing the lives of military personnel, the captivity of Americans for 444 days, perhaps the worst inflation we've seen in the last century, etc. As a human being, he is exceptional in many ways.

Maybe there is some kind of inverse relationship at work here. People who seem to be genuinely good make bad politicians, and vice versa (i.e. Clinton and Trump). Perhaps that says something about our expectations of politicians or how the system works that does not reflect well on us.
