Your statement that the civil war was not about slavery is demonstrably false, much akin to a flat earth argument. The small number of remaining slaves in "neutral" states is irrelevant.

Maybe YOU need to look it up.

Ive already studied it. All you have is some left wing site to support your views. Even that site says men just grabbed women and had off spring without marriage. Hebrews had marriage even if it was with multiple women. Religion is where marriage stems from nothing else. Like I said atheist can shack they have been doing it for thousands of years why marry now? Oh because of tax breaks. Government should not be in marriage or the bedroom.

Kentucky, Delaware, Maryland and Missouri never seceded from the union thus union states that had salves until forced not to by a constitutional amendment.

The civil war started and was fought over states rights ultimately. The federal government was trying to force states to stop slavery. The south said states rights override federal government wishes and seceded. Then several events later the civil war started to bring back the states that seceded from the federal government. Was the war needed to end slavery? Couldn't it have been settled in time without pushing states around? I believe it could have been. The civil war was fought to bring the southern states back and into submission. Freeing southern slaves was a bonus. Those union states that were neutral yet never left the union were still union states with slavery, and they kept them until a constitutional amendment was made to free them.

The shop got a LOT of free press because of it and I would imagine that was the goal all along. If it makes some Libs rethink their stance on the Second Amendment then it's a win/win. It's still America and any business should be able to sell to who they damn well please.

I find this argumentum resonant with today. As more and more of those same Northeastern states restrict and end RKBA, will you support their moving to strip other states of the right because 'the small number of gun owners in 'neutral' states is irrelevant'

I would engage in discussion with you about this, but I feel like it might be a waste of time if you don’t know the difference between owning a firearm and owning a human.

    Two thoughts:

1: are they US citizens? Then yes they get guns
2: what's that old quote, the capitalists will sell us the rope we use to hang them.
We let these retards have guns so they can shoot at us?

    It's messy.
But the constitution says citizens can have guns....for now
Even non-US citizens (legal permanent residents, foreigners with special hunting licence ...) can legally buy, and carry guns.

The US constitution says PEOPLE can have guns, their is no mention of citizenship.

That's why form 4473 asks about citizenship ...

At least non-US-citizens can't vote so you can be sure they have no voted for an anti-gun politician.

I would specify that they do have the right to arms. They do NOT have the right to have any of us supply their guns and if they expect me to supply them they can go **** up a rope.

I suggest we divert all the money being paid into healthcare to pay for our rifles and shotguns instead. Arms are actually an enumerated right.

I apologize, I have not had time or the patience, to read all of the comments.
That said, the 2A applies to the GOVERNMENT'S being restricted, not individuals being restricted from denying or restricting the 2A rights of U.S. CITIZENS.
