Was at a friend's house for a small birthday shindig tonight when they got the call that his mother in law went unresponsive, she passed before they could even get to the hospital.

She had a bad reaction to the Pfizer shot, she had a few underlying medical concerns and her body didn't know what to fight- her organs started to shut down. The hospital contacted Pfizer about it a few days ago and she was apparently 1 of maybe 50 people to have this happen out of millions of their vaccines. So tired of all this ****.

Somewhat similar experience with my sister’s mother-in-law. She was released from the hospital yesterday and is recovering at home. Also has several other medical conditions.

My sister swears it is vaccine related. But her M-I-L is not a heathy woman. High blood pressure. Somewhat overweight (not morbidly obese). Type 2 diabetic. That is pretty much the trifecta of comorbidities, add in her age at upper 70’s and even without Covid she’s nearing her natural end.

    I trust this guy:

Wife and I got our 2nd Moderna Covid shots this afternoon.

Got them about 5 hours ago.

At this point there is no shoulder or injection site pain. No other side effects. Lots of people report fatigue/flu like symptoms the day after their second dose of the Pfizer shot. I gather somewhat fewer complain after the Moderna shot, I’m hoping for no tomorrow.

    Moderna stock tanked 8.8% today.

Apparently, the stock price went down due to the slow response to covid vaccine adaptations. They are already working on an effective vaccine against the south African variant that should be out sometime in 2022.

They just opened up to 60 and above so I signed up my wife and myself for Thursday. My 84 year old Mom got both shots with no adverse effects, not even a sore arm.

The NASDAQ was down less than 3%, a total of around 5% in the last 24 hours.
MRNA is down more than triple that 8%+ yesterday and looks to open down another 9% this morning.

One week post...second injection of something. I remain alive at this hour.

Everyone I know who has been vaccinated is glad they did. Some had mild to moderate side effects. Still glad.
So the microchip has some sort of soma release mechanism. Gotcha.

My wife and I both got our 2nd jab of the Moderna vaccine yesterday afternoon. 18 hours later and no side effects at all from the 2nd shot. Not even a sore arm. We both had sore arms after the 1st shot.

About the only thing I was upset about was that I could not get a SNOOPY bandaid. Heck they didn't even have Clifford the Big Red Dog bandaids. What kind of crap is that? If the government is paying for this with my tax dollars then I should at least get a beloved cartoon character bandaid.

Oh, and I'm still old and crabby. So the shot didn't "fix" that either.

So its Wednesday morning now. The farting and diarrhea have pretty much ended. Moderna shot #2 was taken in the late afternoon. Picked up 20 White Castles on my way home.

Apparently there was some reaction between the entire bag of White Castle cheeseburgers, with everything + extra onions, and the Moderna vaccine. Don't let anyone tell you these vaccines are not dangerous I've never had so much stomach discomfort from White Castle burgers before. Then again I don't think I ever ate 12 White Castles in one day. Seriously considering notifying the FDA about this vaccine issue, they should warn people.

    So ... just beware :oldwise:

Co worker got his second Moderna last week and missed the next day at work. He's a bit of a hypochondriac and had told me he heard the second Moderna made people sick so I wasn't surprised.

Looks like there will be a 3rd vaccine approved. Probably approved within the next few days. Supposedly there will be 20 Million doses available before the end of March.

It's made by Johnson & Johnson and is a SINGLE DOSE vaccine. Approximately 65% effective, but it actually has several advantages in that it lowers severity of the disease if you actually get it, pretty much eliminating your chances of hospitalization or complications AND it can be shipped through normal drug distribution channels without the need for specialized freezers or refrigeration.

All of the vaccines lower the chances of serious disease.

I'm all for more vaccines, but the primary advantages of this one seem to be that it is single dose and does not require extreme cold storage. In the first world, these are not that important, but in more remote areas and different areas of the world, it could be very important.
