It shouldn't bother you, unless you subscribe to virtue signaling. I voted for Biden, as did millions of other people who have sworn oaths to the Constitution. If one is going to say because they did vote that particular way, they have abandoned their oath, "Oh well." If anyone can make such a ridiculous leap, they're well beyond having an intelligent conversation with.
What were the last four words of that oath? We will not be the judge of your fealty

That last sentence really bothers me! In fact downright disheartening. Makes me think your oath doesn't mean squat which then leads me to wonder about the implications of giving someone your word. I guess that's just me.
Remember, not everyone on here cares about and supports the Constitution. Specifically the 2A as this is a gun site.

To some it's just a place to stir political crap and push anti-gun rhetoric.

Pretty much everything. But then again, as he said maybe I “can’t see it.” For those that do see it, and know we are on cusp of a dictatorship, what are you doing to stop it, rather than complain on the interwebz? Further who does the blame fall more on, the weak minded, or those who know but do nothing?
Obviously I do not think I’m weak minded, but this is a fun little “what if” exercise to see what excuses people have for their inaction.
My personal bet, is that most will ride out the next 4 years (maybe longer) talking about what they would do, complaining, and running along to pull levers in November, then claim victory, when seats change parties.

I blame the useless DA's that voted for it.

The cognitive dissonance of your post is mind blowing.

You voted for a man that ran on a platform of gun control and you have audacity, to ask what the gun community (which you don't seem to be apart of) is going to do about gun control?

I googled your username to see if you use the same username to spread your stupidity. It seems you may be on a car forum where the user with your name claims to be a gun toting liberal and a cop.

Is that you? If you are a cop how do you feel about betraying your oath to up hold the constitution? I hope that's not you. The thought of you being a cop spitting such nonsense is a bit shaking. It makes me think of those cops that stomped on the constitution during katrina strong arming guns from old women.
Are we really becoming them. Seriously.
If you get my reference then good. And if you do stop.

    OK peoples this is unlocked.

If you dont like what someone has to say especially if its inside the rules then step off or respond in a adult/civil manner. We all know this.

If you dont like what Kut says then ignore him. His remark about the constitution might get him into something he did not want to be in if he said that to my face. But guess what. We are all at home or work protected by an electronic device.

Yes this is a gun forum 1st and foremost. It has been a kick in the balls to sooooo many of us (Me as well) to learn we have traitors to the cause nestled right in here among us. Are we really surprised given who they are. The post history and left leaning nutty crap these members espouse. The lame defense of their politics. Nope. No surprise here. Angry, you betcha. Surprised......nope.

I would suggest and most strongly that any more remarks to the negative about the constitution or the 2-A will get your butts put off the board so walk softly around those 2 subjects.

This will be my last wasted efforts to keep you kids on track. I am weary and fed up just like the rest of you and my give a :poop: is broken. If you dont like it here, if you are just here to :stickpoke: then stay on that path. I will set you right outside the gates to the playground "Never" to return.

Church, what would you do, if some said your views “stomped on the Constitution?” I dare say, your response would slightly more severe than “oh well.”
You know my former occupation, and the oath I took to be in it. How lightly would you take someone questioning your adherence to that oath; again Im betting less lightly than I. I haven’t ever disparaged the current Constitution nor the 2nd Amendment, and if I had, I’d agree that I shouldn’t even be a member here. In fact, I am literally Indiana caselaw in protecting 2A rights. Yes me, unlike most, I’ve put my money where my mouth is, and been to court over my defense of your 2A, in Indiana.
Given the rules of this forum, I rarely can respond in ways I deem appropriate, when people question my integrity; mainly because I know I’d set heads on fire.
People can dislike my politics, that’s fine, but when you question my personal integrity, ok you’re going to get pushback. And I would expect the same of anyone.

About the original posting, Frank Marshall Davis Jr. is having his third term FDR moment by proxy. It's not that hard to figger out.

    Kut,
Most everybody occasionally has views that stomp on the constitution. If you have some too, OK. You have that right as well. And if you don't have them, then you're a better man than me.

My comment was to all involved and yes I dropped it right in your lap but your post was the one that struck a nerve with me. In that no I did not go all the way back through the thread. What I did do was lock it so a handful of you people were not Banned.

Again. Stop it peoples. Just fracking stop it.

Peoples I can not and will not read an entire thread when the reports come in and yeah we got some reports. My time is being stretched thin with the influx of new members that seem to be lacking in the ability to read the rules and understand them. And so is my patience by some of the responses.

To the point.....the next obvious case of Doxing that I see or even hear of the member involved will be Perma-banned with no recourse. I have been Doxed here in the open forum by a POS that was nothing but trouble to anyone that was unlucky enough to have met him or hos baby moma. What I/we share here is OK. What you all go and dig up past that is just showing how much like those we are ripping into we are becoming.

    Need I go on....????

You do realize that this is hard to sell after proudly supporting a president among others who want to get as close as possible to abolishing the 2A while still being able to make some disingenuous claim to operating within the Constitution?

I think a little Public Service Announcement is in order for some of the more right-minded voices, conversing with the left-minded ones.

Conservatism doesn't mean the same thing to white and black Americans. To white people, it contains a fairly strict aspiration to small government ideals. To black people, it mostly seems to mean, in my experience, "I like the military and believe in God." That is a very limited definition.

A lot of times white folks see a black person on here who is into guns and was in the military (I know this happened years ago with Que), and they say, "Wow, he's one of us!" Then, after some time goes by and the inevitable happens, their excitement drops, disappointment sets in, and they get all butt-hurt to find out that person is quite frankly, liberal on things having to do with the size of government. They thought they had found their next "Candace Watson," only to find out the person resembles more of what they would consider to be a "Carl Rowan" on the issue of guns (young INGOers, look it up on Wiki).

Black "conservatism" of the small-town variety (as opposed to the Candace Owens celebrity variety) simply doesn't seem to contain much skepticism for Federal Government power. White and black America disagree on that. The Federal Government has frankly been a never-ending source of good and progress for black Americans. Many of them feel much of the progress accumulated by black Americans has been made possible, in no small part, by the aggressive interventions of an activist Federal Government. They are simply never going to have the degree of skepticism of Federal Government power that white conservatives have.

That 90+% rate of black vote for Democrats means something. It means they basically like the Federal Government. It means they're basically liberal, when it comes to size-of-government issues. That is totally separate from whether they believe in God, whether they own guns, and whether they like the Military.

ON the issue of guns and 2A: Have you ever heard the story about getting free milk from the cow? That applies here. Milk = Guns. Cow = Small Government. I know a few black gun owners. They are not pot-smoking Bernie-lovers. However, and this is most important: although they believe in God and things like that, they love them some Federal Government. (Note: many white people do, too). They believe they can enjoy the benefit of a large, muscular, interventionist Federal Government which inserts itself into peoples' lives in an attempt to make things better, and...(drumroll)...still get the benefit of having their guns. They believe they can have their Milk (guns), without needing to purchase the Cow (Small Government). They believe Gun Rights and a Large Federal Government can coexist side-by-side, in a more or less continuous state of "dynamic tension," because if things ever get too far out of line on the 2A, (mostly) white people will step into the Midterm Elections and reverse it somehow.

When you vote for country-club establishment Chamber of Commerce Republicans, you are allowing liberal gun-owners to get the milk without buying the Cow. You are keeping just enough votes out of Democrat hands, to keep gun control functionally out of reach*. But you're also getting more government in the process.

Whether those of you who are white conservatives choose to continue to perform that useful service to liberals, is up to you.

But I have explained to you that Black Conservatives (talking the kind you find in your neighborhood, not the occasional Candace Owens anomaly) are _not_ small government conservatives.

Your local gun-owning black person =/= (is not equal to) Candace Owens.

Get it in your heads. It's going to be a looong, long 4 years if you don't.

*...but that strategy didn't work out so hot in 1994, did it?

    (CM: I tried...)

Kut, I stand by my first and last sentence. I apologize for impugning your oath and word as a gentleman, my bad.
But "stomped on the Constitution, oh well"? That's what set me off. Not who you voted for or your beliefs, you stand by them and we just disagree, that's life.

Thanks for that. Let me also apologize. The "oh well," was kneejerk response, to what I perceived as an attack. I appreciate you apology, as it shows to your character, and hope you can accept mine.
