Looking for weapon light for my glock 19. I havnt had one in years. Last one I had was a tlr1 HL. Has there been any new additions to this that are better than the Tlr1hl?

+1 for TLR7a. Small, light and plenty bright. The switches are designed really well. Pretty easy to find compatible holsters, I really like my Dara OWB. I have other WML's but this one came with the Glock from the seller and it's a great match.

+1 for the tlr1 HL. I got one in a trade and bought a second a few months ago. I have a sinking feeling most things streamlight are pretty decent as I bought a larger streamlight hand held flashlight off a Mac tool truck a few years back during my mechanic phase and it has served dutifully with the only hiccups being the original batteries could only be charged so many times before they only worked at full capacity for only 15 minutes. As long as you don't use rechargeable stuff in the tlr1 you're good to go.
Also, a word of caution about using rechargeables in a duty light, don't do it. The variability in voltages for rechargeables at full capacity is higher than the tlr1 can handle as they spike about half a volt or so higher and can cause your light or the electronics in it to burn. Experience is a pretty expensive teacher.
Ymmv of course, and other manufacturers may not have this issue.

    I have x300's.

My suggestion would be to research nicer premade light bearing G19 holsters. Look at the standard light that they sell non-custom holsters for.

Eventually we all change or upgrade. Smart money goes with the standards. Can't help but notice the specialty gear that languishes in the classys because they are unique or limited in popularity.

:twocents: - Personally, I don't care to carry a weapon lighted gun on me 24/7. One of my x300's is stored in a light bearing G19 holster inside my car bag though. Can change into it anytime needed, as the situation dictates. Holster the gun and it comes out with light attached.

the TLR7 and Glock 19 are a great pairing. Enough light to do what you need, no extra bulk to contend with. I’m looking to pick one up for mine.

Another vote for "TLR-7A". Note specific nomenclature with a caution for new buyers unfamiliar with the evolution of this product line, where a couple people above used "7" without the following "A". The original TLR-7 had side mounted pushbuttons and it is impossible for me to fully emphasize how comparatively worthless it is for practical defensive use without the use of obscenities.

Another advantage of the TLR-7/7A given the non-QD screw mounting is that the single CR123 battery is changed out the front without removing the light from the pistol frame. The bezel also has a lockout position to prevent the light from coming on when stored in a case. After fixing the switch design it's really a great value for the relatively low price.

Best price I've found is premiumselectsupplies.com; have not ordered one for some time but used to be a discount code SG10.

I have preferred the Surefire X300 and X300U-A for most purposes over the years, but found them too large for year-round concealed EDC. I just moved over this last year to EDC light carry with G19 + TLR-7A. Can confirm that Vedder IWB and Raven OWB holsters, both designed for the TLR-7, work with no problem with the updated TLR-7A switches. Both holsters also fit a Glock slide machined for Unity Atom optics plates with ACRO and tall rear iron sight located in front of the optics, probably will fit the majority of other pistol RDS setups.

Same for me. I have several x300's scattered around.

Thats how I clean my Glock also...once a year just throw it in a snow bank, pull it out, and stuff it back into the holster till next year.

I have an Surefire X300 - love it. I've always been a Surefire guy in the past but, I think they are so focused on military contracts that they have priced themselves out of the consumer market. So, I have started switching to Streamlights. As you can see by this forum and any research Streamlights are legitimate. They are just as rugged, reliable and just as bright as a Surefire at 1/2 the cost.
