Newspeak. Orwell would be slapping his forehead.

Ether way it's biased one-sided reporting that people get. But that much is by choice of what sources they watch. Here, we have one side claiming that the other is the problem, ironically creating the one-sided biased viewpoint they say is a threat to democracy. I think that we should bring the fairness doctrine back. THAT's a better solution than trying to silence the side you disagree with, and pretending that they're the bad guys.

Hearing both sides argued fairly in the public square is way more valuable than hearing just one side. **** the media.

I watched this twice, The second time stopping and starting to catch which stations were making the statements. At first I thought this was related to the nextstar media groups News Nation programming. After review however nearly every major national broadcasting organization was represented among the stations which were clipped.

What I had originally dismissed as carefully clipped and edited pieces to support a narrative does not appear to be quite so simple. The same language being used across such a diverse media company set suggest persons speaking from a single playbook. This is quite literally an example of the sort of state controlled propaganda seen in the east block countries prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall..

I now consider the the video more disturbing and chilling than I did at first pass.

So who wrote the copy, and who pushed for its broadcast?

Why is that ironic? The subject was scripted talking points across multiple stations on multiple networks.

Isn't this the result of deregulation?

I see it as ironic given the commentary on the video in the OP link:

The MSM all across the nation have you fooled. So fooled that you will do everything they say because they've brainwashed you for so long, you don't even notice it. They have a brainwashing agenda and its on an enormous scale - coast to coast.
    Here's proof...

So the MSM brainwashing is on the right side of the political spectrum? I'm guessing that this has been presented, millions of times, as something it's not.

Isn't this the result of deregulation?

Yes, indirectly, in that one media group can own that many stations.

But so what? It only scares people who think that it is evidence of some global cabal rather than what it is- a business owner desiring to send a specific message. I would think the message would be more important that the fact that a bunch of stations owned by the same group read the same script.

Sometimes it seems like the most important thing is to create a boogeyman.
