Starting in 2011, quite a bit have I been a part of Thanksgiving on my wife's side of our family. Five years ago we moved north and now live across the pasture from the sister that has the Thanksgiving gathering of the family.
A tradition they have is for everyone gathered around the table to tell of something they are thankful for. This year the bank bug social engineering has the family broken up and split apart but the wife, her sister and I will still have Thanksgiving dinner together. With turkey and dressing, sweet potatoes and who knows what else including pumpkin cheese cake (pulled it out of the oven an hour ago!). And I'm thinking about what I will be thankful for.

How about you fellas, what are you going to be thankful for this holiday season?

I stayed employed, fed, and mostly healthy all year. Can't ask for much more than that and it's sadly a year where a lot of folks didn't.

...and bacon. Always thankful for bacon.

Three and a half years in since buying the company and business continues to do well and grow despite the pandemic. Most recently, grateful that my case of covid stayed mild and out of my lungs.

Thankful to still have DoggyMama in my life after her battle with esophageal cancer and other health issues. Thankful to still be gainfully employed and working from home. Thankful for strengthening relationships with my grandkids (technically, DoggyMama's grandkids). Thankful for my mom still being in relatively good health at 98 years young, going on 99. Thankful for good friends, here and in "real life". Thankful to live in what is still the greatest country on earth, and praying it remains that way. Thankful that my sister came through her breast cancer lumpectomies today. Probably leaving out a lot of stuff, but those are the highlights.

Thankful that I am still walking and breathing when more than a few times I should not be. And being able to continue to work and provide.
Thankful CKW is still with me after her serious life struggles as in hanging onto life.
Thankful for the unconditional love I am surrounded with when the terrorists attack.
Thankful for the friendships made here in this forum. Some of the best folks I have ever known.

I will cherish every morning I open my eyes as that day and any that follow are a blessing.

2020 has been a strange one thankful it is almost over. Thankful to return to work after several lay-offs after working 20 years straight. Went into hospital for same day surgery and then everybody’s in the house got the COVID. Thankful we all did not go back to hospital and the symptoms did not last long. Thankful for 2 grand-babies. Most of all thankful getting over this surgery and feeling better every day and the days when me and the wife cooks up some really good dinner. We are blessed and living in blessed country.

Thankful for still having my health, well just had a triple hernia operation last week, sore but doing fine. Retired so not much effect from the virus, wife is semi-retired and healthy, dogs are happy. Mostly happy that we left Illinois and got settled into our new home in small town Indiana. Jim,

This. While other people had it tough, I stayed employed and went to full time working from home, which I can't say I don't enjoy. I pray for those impacted by the shutdowns and other government overreach.

I'm thankful for all the Lord has provided me and also for my INGO family... :ingo:

I started thinking about this topic after having my students create a project to show their appreciation for someone in their life. I have been guilty of focusing on all of the negative stuff from 2020. I think this gave me time to realize that I'm the most thankful for the things I have always taken for granted.

Well in August I discovered that I had Non-hodkins lymphoma, they cut me open and discovered that it was too far advanced to do anything to save my life so I turned to God and asked Him to heal me, and he did, I am now totally cancer free, PRAISE GOD! That's what I'm thankful for.
