Chuck Baldwin is still around? What rock did he emerge from?:D

The guy who wanted to change the Constitution for a whole bunch of reasons now says that any proposal to change the Constitution is "tyranny". LOL.

Just more claptrap from the fringe-on-the-flag set.

In the article Baldwin said that we need to seceed and have another constitutional congress--what's so different between that and amending the current constitution? As for secession, the civil war stopped that at a huge cost in lives and property. IIRC there is something along the lines of 'jury nullification' where the states just refuse to cooperate. They could offset the cost of fed.gov not sending their stipend by just not sending taxes to the cesspool. If enough states did that, the feds might have to straighten up.

You, Sir, have mastered Saul's rule number 5.

What are your thoughts on the opinions shared by the author of the article?

Only a very few states could even consider this, and most are liberal.

    How do you define "liberal"?

    What States could consider nullification?

Why are they they only few that could?

Most states bring in more federal dollars than they dole out. If the states refuse to pony up the dough to the Fed's, and they do likewise, they'll ruin that states economy. Texas, has more dollars coming in, that going out. NY, CA, IL more going out than coming in. Take SC for instance, they bring in $7 dollars for ever dollar they pay out. ironic given the topic, and that states history.

With all due respect, you did not answer any of my three questions.

I am interested in your response.

I am going to work for a while, but I'll check back later.

    Best regards.

    Liberal... an "blue" state
    Consider? None
The few that could would do so because they would be retaining more money for their state.

Kirk, is this just a comment, or is there more behind it? The reason I asked is that this is the second time in a couple of days that I've heard the fringe on the flag as signifying something. At least to a certain group of dubious wattage on whether the current Federal government is legitimate. I guess to this group the gold fringe on the US flag makes it a "maritime" or "nautical" flag... But the significance of that was lost on me.

That article did get one thing right -- the problem is not the Constitution as currently written, and burning BTUs on a Convention to make the Constitution more....constitutional... is not going to help. The problem is the people the country has elected who fold, spindle, mutilate, or ignore the limits set in the Constitution. A secession isn't really the answer to that either, since it will also burn up an inordinate amount of BTUs trying to make it stick. "Secession" is a nice way to say "let's have a civil war." I don't think civil war is out of the realm of possibilities in the long term, but I do not think is it is a "solution" to be chosen. There is still some political work that can be done.

The significance is lost on anyone with a firm grasp on reality...but that doesn't keep me from googling and watching Youtube videos for entertainment purposes, case in point

So it's perfectly relevant to anyone on INGO then?

Judge, I saw a silver oar in the storage closet. I move to dismiss, ye landlubber! Arrrr, I sail the seven counties looking for Chuck Baldwin's hidden treasure . . . his sanity.

Fringe on the flag is a go to argument of whackadoodles such as militia boys and SCs. It's also part of that book that gets passed around by the guys awaiting federal sentencing. "My right to three plea agreements." "The judge has to let me go because he is a Reptilian and not a human, free born on the land" or whatever nonsense is currently being spouted.

    It is mystical nonsense.

My favorite is when they say court proceedings don't apply to them because their name isn't spelt with all capital letters.

And let it be known that I hereby discharge all my fictitious obligations. They now belong to Kirk Freeman.

    Can I say "belong"?

HoughMade, you made my day, lol. I just climbed into my lead-lined concrete room, wedged myself between a couple of cases of mre's, donned my tin foil hat and tuned in to the mothership.
