What a day! Blue skies, no rain, no wind, bright sun, cool temperatures. PERFECT!
So what else to do but hit the range with some friends.
Chris (Integraholic), Klint (who is a Bartholomew Co. Sheriff's Deputy), and I headed down to Brown County, where we met with my sister (Kelly) and my Dad (lovemywoods).
What follows is our day, shown in pictures:
Here is the crew: Chris, Kelly, Dad, yours truely
And the basic range setup.
We started off easy, on a line.
Looks like Klint wins (again. . .). Kelly was disqualified for using the M4 with Aimpoint (cheater).
Chris' turn. Look at that face!
Dad finally got to shoot his own gun.
And there's the family.
Even Mom brought her "Canon" (thanks for the pics).
Here is Deputy Brown running a course with his department shotgun.
Lucky for us, he killed the bunny.
Back to reloading and taking a break.
That's when we broke out the tannerite. We decided to start small and trying packing some into a spent shotgun shell. It was a tiny "boom" and all it did was turn the shell inside-out.
We were unsatisfied. So we then put an entire container of tannerite on top of a wooden post, and place a milk jug filled with water on top of it. Big fun! Note the ripped jug flying through the air!
WE LOVE TANNERITE!
The second time around we went BIGGER. First we laid out a 2'x'3 piece of 1/4" steel diamond plate on the ground. Then we stacked the tannerite container on top of 4 clay pigeons. We also put 4 clays behind it, and 4 on each side. Then we put another 4 clays on top, and THEN another water jug.
The biggest piece of clay pigeon was less than 1/4 inch wide. It completely powdered everything! The last picture is the steel plate covered in black dust. It was normally rust-red colored.
Chris has the tannerite shoots on video, and he will post them when he gets them on YouTube.
Ok here are the tannerite videos!!
