Should I have kept my mouth shut ?

I believe the only time the NRA is gun free on Personal firearms is in event halls when the President or VP and etc is there. Usually the floor is GTG

      Glock 17L

Loom at the 11:30 mark he takes the polymer recoil nose off the slide.

      Glock 17L

That’s BS they are fine. I will say one thing on the Gen 5 17L I just learned the nose end at the front on the slide that the recoil spring fits into is polymer and is removable. It can be slide to the back of the slide and removed. I’m sure it’s fine but I am also sure somebody will have a...

      Staccato XC fails drop test

I think it’s funny and as one of the comments mentioned that LAPD back in he late 90’s whenever went with Kimber because if it just had to have a 1911 with a series 80 FP block then quietly went with the staccato recently. Like why do LE agencies buy sniper rifles that cost thousands when the I...

      Staccato XC fails drop test

I remember people bi&$;ing about a series 80 is so horrible to a 70. Probably the same ones that complained about Gen 4 Glock triggers are worse than Gen 3 and whatever they say about Gen 5 I’m convinced people complain WAY too much on well everything but with guns especially. Like everyone is...

Why all the hate on .40

All great points .i will add though as far as price that’s only half of it. And one thing for my case anyway If you compare to the everywhere cheap mundane 115 target sure but myself I like the loaded to real capabilities 124 NATO at 1,200 fps or 147 than the cost savings isn’t as great. (And...

Why all the hate on .40

people have become ruder by the week these days. And unfortunately a lot of gun enthusiasts sort of are worse than other groups. The rude ones believe whatever bandwagon they are in with and there can be no others. Look at the Cult of the Red Dot Church people!

Why all the hate on .40

Politely just adding in case anyone didn’t know specifically. If one wants to do that make sure you get a 40 chambered 229 a 9mm you can’t go up to a 40 from a 9mm breech but you can go down from 40

      Staccato XC fails drop test

My competition is supposedly drop safe due to the titanium foreign pin and heavier FP spring. (I’ll take their word for it) I believe my Springfield Operator has the same set up so it could be updated without going full bore 80 series could it not?

      HK VP9

If you are an Indiana resident and you don’t mind a drive there are several HK places in central and west central. Top Guns in Terre Haute I use to teach at has an extensive line of HK from VP anything to P30, HK45 and USP. They also have a few P30 and 30L and HK45 LEM and Daa/SA variants

      Staccato XC fails drop test

I’m not a 1911 ish smith and not sure if they have titanium firing pins or harder springs like other non series 80 guns but apparently Ben Stoeger got his new Staccato to detonate a primed case without the hammer falling. Other than don’t drop it, Thoughts??!

      Best Revolver for a Son?

My first gun was a Savage 24c camper companion 20ga 22lr we never owned handguns til I got my first one at 18 a Taurus 82 3” barrel made like the olde S&W’s So while I love S&W revolvers and a 2.75” 66 would be a great choice the Taurus 856 line with 3” barrels would be just as good

      Favorite Manufacturer and Why

S&W revolvers and M&Ps. Sig 220 series and HK 46 and P30 all LEM and 1911 Colt and Springfield brands I got a 4 star rating at Glock Operator course but shoot the others better.

      New 2024 Colt revolvers

The one contract that has me scratching my head is Pennsylvania State Police is ditching the Sig 227 for Walther PDP and red dot. And Colorado State Patrol I’d doing Shadow Systems Glock clone. While small in comparison to LAPD numbers there’s small holdouts here and there

      New 2024 Colt revolvers

I will say I have seen quite a lot of CZ P10c’s on the national training side. In classes the last 3 years or so from Spaulding to Rangemaster Basic and Advanced Instructor and a bunch of matches CZ and HK have had more representation than you’d think.
